JANET JACKSON TO HEADLINE DSTV DELICIOUS’ 30-YEAR FESTIVAL

South Africa’s most iconic lifestyle festival, the DStv Delicious International Food & Music Festival is back and better than ever.

The legendary Janet Jackson and the soulful Jill Scott will headline the 2024 festival.

Local superstars such as Thandiswa Mazwai, Sjava, and the Soweto Gospel Choir will join these global icons.

This year, the festival celebrates a milestone: 30 years of creative freedom in South Africa.

In 1994, South Africa held its first democratic elections, marking the start of a new era.

This year, the DStv Delicious Festival honours three decades of freedom for South African creatives.

Festival co-founders Tom Pearson-Adams and Lloyd Cornwall expressed their excitement.

“We are thrilled to return with an extraordinary commemorative festival to celebrate 30 years of creative freedom in South Africa.”

Janet Jackson, with over 100 million records sold, will grace the stage on Saturday night, according to Woman And Home Magazine.

Performances from Thandiswa Mazwai, G-Force, and a live DJ set by Oskido will precede her.

On Sunday, the Grammy-winning Soweto Gospel Choir will uplift spirits. Sjava and The Maestro on the decks will follow this.

Jill Scott will close the festival with her velvet-smooth vocals.

In addition to these headliners, the festival will feature the ’30 Years of Creative Freedom Show’. This will pay tribute to South Africa’s musical legends.

Performers include Boom Shaka, Cassper Nyovest, Yvonne Chaka Chaka, and many more.

It’s a celebration of the past, present, and future of South African music, according to Music In Africa.

A 30% discount on ‘Weekender’ tickets and 20% on single-day tickets are available for a limited time.

General admission tickets are priced at R1,050.

For those looking for a premium experience, Delicious Lounge tickets are R3,250 per person. Injabulo Lounge tickets on The Terrace are priced at R8,350 per person.
