FLAN WITH CARAMEL - VIDEO RECIPE !

A smooth dessert, delicately aromatized with caramel and vanilla. In short, a real treat !

Ingredients

For the flan :

For the caramel :

  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • some water

Preparation

  • Step 1:

    Make the caramel : put the sugar and some water in a pot at medium heat, and leave until the caramel gets formed. Immediateely pour it into the mould, and turn it to spread the caramel.

  • Step 2:

    Put the milk to boil with the sliced vanilla pod. Meanwhile, whisk the eggs with the sugar.

  • Step 3:

    Once the milk has boiled, gradually pour it into the eggs, while whisking.

  • Step 4:

    Then, pour it into the mould on top of the caramel, and put it in a deep dish. Pour boiling water into the dish, to cook the flan in a water bath. Bake for 50 minutes at 300°F (150°C).

  • Step 5:

    Leave to cool down, put in the fridge for a few hours, then unmould the flan. There you are !
