BREADED CAMEMBERT, MELTY AND CRISPY

Main Dish

Make the camembert even crispier and melty with our breaded camembert recipe! An easy preparation that can be served as an appetizer or for dinner accompanied by a salad. To achieve a well-melted cheese when cut, follow our step-by-step recipe and refer to the video version at the end ;-)

Ingredients

  • 1 camembert
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • oil for frying

Preparation

  • Step 1:

    Cut the cold camembert into 8 equal parts.

  • Step 2:

    Coat each slice of camembert in flour. Then dip the pieces in the beaten eggs, using 2 forks.

  • Step 3:

    Then coat them in breadcrumbs to cover the entire piece. Dip them again in the eggs, and then back into the breadcrumbs.

  • Step 4:

    This step ensures a thick enough outer layer so that the camembert does not leak during cooking. Place the breaded pieces in the freezer for 20 minutes.

  • Step 5:

    Fry in hot oil (375°F/190°C) for 1 minute, or until golden brown.

  • Step 6:

    And there you have it, your breaded camembert is ready!
